In early 2016 I was approached by the creative department at Julep to assist with the re-design of their website.
The project had already begun some months earlier, with the overall direction defined and many core layouts already produced. With these elements in place my role was to assist the lead Art Director by providing additional mockups of pages not yet created, and to provide developers with comprehensive specs to ensure the designs were translated correctly into code.
A number of animations also needed to be created, for various user interactions such as adding an item to the cart. I designed and animated these concepts in After Effects before finalizing and delivering them to the developers as animated GIF’s.
In addition to fleshing out the site designs, I helped improve communication between designers and developers by suggesting new workflows and tools.
The end result was a beautifully clean, responsive website.
