Seeking to re-launch the brand, and provide a better customer experience for new and existing Shinybox owners, John Ulrigg approached me to provide a custom design and development solution for his WordPress powered e-commerce site.
Before we started work on the site it was important for us to ensure the products could be displayed in the best light possible. To achieve this, we utilized my photo and film studio in the SODO district of Seattle. We shot each product in a range of situations to give us the most flexibility when it came to designing the website.
With the product shots in the can, work began on the site design.
We started with a 100% custom design, producing both desktop and mobile mockups. Once these had been refined to everyone’s satisfaction it was time to turn to WordPress.
To speed up development of the site we utilized a pre-built theme in combination with the Visual Composer plugin, which allowed us to replicate our custom designs perfectly.
The e-commerce portion of the site is powered by WooCommerce.
